Flour flurries, the scent of melted butter wafting through the air, the excitement of licking the bowl clean after my grandmother gave me permission to do so. All these memories have been ingrained in my thoughts since I can remember. This was home for me, in the kitchen.
This led to culinary school, stints in Vegas kitchens up and down The Strip, and a move to Austin. Food & beverage is where I feel most comfortable. From working on the line in kitchens to spending time as a server, I’ve found plenty of friends and inspiration down the road. Folks in the service industry are a different kind of breed and we're proud of it. The rebels, outcasts, and weirdos somehow landed in the midst of the chaos that is food & beverage. I wanted to showcase these wonderful people and their journeys into the trade that we lovingly call home while learning about every aspect of the trade that is near and dear to my heart.
